Maurice Blackburn Manager of Social Work Services Leah du Plooy
has been a qualified social worker for more than 17 years and has
worked in various settings including acute hospitals, sexual
assault counselling and child and family welfare.
Before joining Maurice Blackburn, Leah worked at the Alfred
Hospital's Trauma Unit providing support to patients and families
who had been admitted to hospital after sustaining a traumatic
injury. She also has worked with victims of disasters such as the
Bali Bombings and the 2009 Victorian Black Saturday Bushfires.
Leah brings with her an understanding of how a traumatic
experience can impact on you and your family and she is committed
to improving your quality of life.
