Kim Shaw is an accredited personal injury specialist who
practises in the areas of WorkCover and personal
injury law, and superannuation and insurance
claims. She is the Managing Principal of Maurice
Blackburn's Ringwood office.
Kim joined Maurice Blackburn in 1991 after completing her
articles and has remained a proud member of the firm, becoming a
Principal in July 1999. As an experienced litigator, Kim is
passionate about achieving good outcomes for injured workers and
strives to provide accurate and clear advice to her clients.
Kim established the Ringwood office of Maurice Blackburn in July
1997 as Managing Principal. The office has expanded from a
staff of three to 18 and is a cornerstone of the Ringwood
community, providing advice and representation to injured people in
the eastern region from Box Hill to Healesville and surrounding
areas. Kim also helps people with superannuation and insurnace
claims in our Melbourne office.
As a member of the firm's Women's Law Section, Kim
provides legal advice to women who prefer a female
practitioner. She is also a member of the Law Institute of
Victoria's Personal Injury Law Advisory Committee which prepares
and examines the accreditation process and a member of the
Australian Litigation Lawyers Alliance.
Kim is author of the chapter on WorkCover in the Legal
Practise Manual, which is produced by the Monash University
Law Faculty.
