Laird Macdonald is a lawyer in the WorkCover department in the
Sunshine office. He completed his Arts degree majoring in History
and Politics at Monash University, and his Law degree at Deakin
University.
Laird provides advice and conducts litigation for injured
workers from all areas of employment in the western suburbs in what
can be a difficult and stressful time for them.
Laird has previously worked with newly arrived refugees in the
inner city assisting with their education and integration in the
community with the Fitzroy Learning Network. While studying, Laird
worked for State and Federal Members of Parliament as an electorate
officer, and he also worked at the Industrial Relations
Community Legal Centre, JobWatch Inc.
Throughout his working and academic life, Laird has been
passionate about helping people who have found themselves up
against the system. That's why he's fighting for the rights of
workers under the WorkCover system.
