Brisbane and Ipswich meetings to update floods class action registrants

Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and Bentham IMF will host meetings in Brisbane and Ipswich for floods class action registrants in the coming weeks.
Meetings will be held for people registered for the class action on Sunday 15 December at The Greek Club in South Brisbane and on Monday 16 December at the Metro Hotel in Ipswich. There will also be an opportunity to register for the class action an hour before each meeting.
Residents and businesses have until 28 February 2014 to sign-on to the class action, after which the class action will be filed in court.
The meetings will play an important role in helping to update registrants on the next steps regarding the class action and to ensure residents and businesses have a final opportunity to meet in person with the legal team running the case ahead of the 28 February 2014 sign-up deadline.
The meetings will be hosted by Maurice Blackburn Principal Damian Scattini and Bentham IMF's John Walker and Andrew Charles.

Maurice Blackburn's Damian Scattini and Bentham IMF's John Walker will be available to speak to media from The Greek Club at 12:30pm, ahead of the 1pm meeting.
Media will then have an opportunity to take overlay footage at the beginning of the meeting, after which the meeting will be open to registrants only.
Monday 16 December - Metro Hotel, 43 South Street, Ipswich
Meeting for registrants to commence at 7pm
Maurice Blackburn's Damian Scattini and Bentham IMF's Andrew Charles will be available to speak to media at 6:30pm at the Metro Hotel, ahead of the 7pm meeting.
Media will have an opportunity to take overlay footage at the beginning of the meeting, after which the meeting will then be open to registrants only.
