Isobel Blomfield

Isobel Blomfield is a Class Actions Lawyer at Maurice Blackburn’s Melbourne office.

Practice Area

Class actions

Qualification(s)

LLB/BSRP, GDLP

Isobel is a compassionate, energetic and analytical lawyer who appreciates that class actions law provides thousands of individuals who might not otherwise have access to the legal system a form of redress, particularly for society’s more vulnerable.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to use my legal skills to help everyday people access the legal system and vindicate their rights. I was drawn to the law because I have always had an interest in being able to make a difference, and working in law provides a very real and tangible way to do this.”

Isobel was motivated to practice law to help people. Her experience includes working as an Associate to the Deputy President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, in refugee law for asylum seekers and refugees, and she has volunteered at the Aboriginal Legal Service, Legal Aid in Indonesia, the Human Rights Institute and the Australian Human Rights Commission.
