Monica Liesch

Monica graduated from Macquarie University with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Law, before going on to complete a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. She was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2013, and joined Maurice Blackburn the following year.

In her time with the firm, Monica has worked on public liability, work related injuries and motor vehicle accident cases, as well as the DePuy knee implant class action. She was drawn to practice law through a desire to help everyday Australians.

"The most rewarding part of my work is helping people seek justice. The best part of my day is hearing the relief and happiness in my client's voice once they have won their battle and knowing they can start rebuilding their life," says Monica.

Monica is a determined lawyer who uses her legal skills to help individuals through hardship. Her background in psychology, including working as a community support worker in mental health, helps her to understand the devastating impact that unfair treatment, accidents and illness can have on her clients' lives. She brings this determination and empathy to all her client interactions.
