Samantha Davis

Samantha first joined Maurice Blackburn in 2012 when she completed her seasonal clerkship with us, and then joined the firm as a class actions paralegal in 2013. After she earned a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland, Samantha progressed through our Trainee Lawyer Program in 2014. She was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2015 and since then, she has spent her time helping people with workers’ compensation, CTP and public liability compensation claims.

Samantha describes herself as driven and compassionate in her work, and she is highly motivated to fight for people in their time of need.

“Fighting for the rights of clients who have been injured as a result of someone else’s wrongdoing is incredibly rewarding. I am passionate about ensuring people are aware of their rights and are not pressured into settling for less than they deserve by large, well-resourced insurance companies,” says Samantha.

Samantha particularly enjoys the challenge of balancing the need to fight while remaining sensitive to the needs of her clients.

“I love getting to know my clients and their stories, and then being able to advocate for them to the best of my ability.

“Many of our clients are dealing with pressures and difficulties which impact every aspect of their life and those around them. It can be challenging and very rewarding to fight for my client’s best interests, while at the same time ensuring they receive the support they need.”
