Amber Wang is a Senior Associate at Maurice Blackburn, based in our Townsville office. She helps clients throughout Far North Queensland.
Amber has a world of experience which she uses to help local clients. Amber completed Bachelor and Masters degrees in science with a major in psychology in New Zealand, then she traveled to Canada to complete her postgraduate law studies under a prestigious international law scholarship.
Amber returned to NZ where she was admitted as a barrister and solicitor. Amber advised the NZ government about motor vehicle legislation, and worked as a civil law solicitor, appearing before tribunals and the District and High courts. She then moved to Canberra where she combined her qualifications and experience in psychology with her passion for law, providing high level legal advice to government agencies in the area of medical law. During this time, Amber was named runner-up ACT Young Lawyer of the Year in 2007, and she was also Chair of the ACT Young Lawyers Committee.
Amber joined Maurice Blackburn in 2008, helping to establish the firm's Townsville office. She then spent three years helping people in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs area, and returned to Townsville in 2016. Amber dedicates herself to upholding the rights of workers and obtaining fair outcomes. She continually uses knowledge from her variety of qualifications and experiences to help people in Townsville and surrounding areas.
