Anna Williams is a Senior Associate in Maurice Blackburn's class action department in our Sydney office.
She is currently working on shareholder class actions against Bellamy's and the CIMIC Group (formerly known as Leighton Holdings).
Anna has previously been involved in a number of Maurice Blackburn's successful class actions including:
- the DePuy ASR hip implants class action which action settled for $250 million in 2016. At the time this was the largest class action settlement in the Federal Court of Australia and overall the third largest class action settlement in Australian legal history.
- shareholder class actions against Nufarm, which settled for $46.625 million in November 2012, and more recently against Tamaya Resources.
Before joining Maurice Blackburn in 2011, Anna worked in criminal law. She brought to the firm considerable experience in running large scale, complex prosecutions and understanding of the issues faced by victims of wrongdoing.
