Brandy Butler is a personal injuries lawyer at Maurice Blackburn’s Rockhampton office, not far from where she grew up. Brandy has been admitted as a solicitor in both the Queensland Supreme Court, and the High Court of Australia. She began her legal career in criminal law working for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. She was the legal officer on files including drug operations, violent offences and serious child sex offences and has appeared in matters at both the District and Supreme Courts.
“Understanding the legal system and how it applies to specific scenarios can be overwhelming, daunting and turn many people away from making claims. It is rewarding to use my skills to assist people in fully understanding their rights, and advocate on their behalf to ensure that a fair settlement is reached.”
Brandy believes that everyone should be held accountable for their actions, and that people with obligations to protect their employees should uphold their responsibilities to the highest standard. She understands the struggles that come from injuries, and knows the devastating consequences this can have on people’s lives. She seeks to make the claims process as stress free as possible.
