Danielle Verde is a lawyer in Maurice Blackburn’s Sydney office. She helps people with Will and Estates Law.

Danielle holds a Bachelor degree in Arts and Honours in Law. She joined Maurice Blackburn in February 2014 as a graduate lawyer, before being admitted to practice in August of the same year.

“I became a lawyer because I want to be a part of a profession where I make a difference. I want to give a voice and stand up for those who cannot do it for themselves for a variety of reasons, but in particular, due to the power imbalances in society,” says Danielle.

Danielle is always eager to take on new challenges. She has particularly strong communication skills and most of her cases settle before going to court. With a long-term interest in social justice issues, Danielle is inspired in her work by the knowledge that, by assisting clients to achieve the best outcome in their claims, she is helping them to achieve the means to move forward with their lives and to achieve some measure of closure.

“Fighting to get the best outcome for people is satisfying. Sometimes you can’t help but be affected by your client’s situation – whether it’s a car accident or a Will dispute. Knowing that we are righting the wrongs that have been imposed on people through no fault of their own makes this challenge worthwhile.”
