Jacquie Farrelly is a medical negligence lawyer at Maurice Blackburn’s Perth office. Jacquie studied law so she could help people who do not have the knowledge or resources themselves, and are often fighting against companies and insurers who do.
“My aim is for my clients to go away feeling satisfied they were listened to. For me, the most important thing is when a client is comfortable enough to share what is usually an incredibly personal and difficult experience they have endured, through no fault of their own. I believe that when a client feels safe and knows their lawyer cares about what happened to them, there is a stronger chance of achieving a good outcome. At the end of the day it is the client’s case, I am just here to assist them.”
Jacquie believes the law is there for the whole community, and the playing field should be equal between parties. She began her legal career in a small personal injury firm and enjoyed the research involved in understanding an injury and the role that plays within a case. She counts herself lucky to have found a career she really enjoys.
