Jason Mills is a personal injury Associate in Maurice Blackburn’s Cairns office. He helps people with workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident and public liability claims.

Admitted as a solicitor in 2010, Jason has more than five years’ personal injury compensation experience. An experienced negotiator, he has significant skills and an in-depth knowledge of personal injury litigation in Queensland.

Born and bred in Far North Queensland, Jason is a strong communicator who is able to explain complicated terms and legal processes in a simple and effective way, ensuring that his clients have a clear understanding of all aspects of their cases.

“The most rewarding thing about my work is being able to reach strong outcomes for deserving clients whose lives, through no fault of their own, have been impacted by the negligent actions of others,” says Jason.

Drawn to the practice of personal injury law by his desire to advocate on behalf of injured people, as well as his interest in civil litigation, Jason graduated from the University of Queensland with Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor qualifications.

With a genuine concern for the welfare of his clients, Jason is inspired in his work by the opportunity to achieve justice for people whose lives have been so significantly and adversely affected.

“I’m really driven by helping my clients access their full statutory entitlements and common law compensation, particularly in circumstances where you know that the person is really struggling, and that your hard work will lead to an outcome that is going to have a real and significant impact on their life.”
