Julian Brown is a personal injury compensation Senior Associate in Maurice Blackburn’s Cairns office. He began working at Maurice Blackburn in 2017, bringing to our Far North Queensland team a decade of legal experience.
Julian holds a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Laws with honours and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Monash University.
Julian acts predominantly for people seeking compensation following work or road injuries, and he also has worked for WorkCover Queensland, so he knows both sides of the legal process.
"My science and anatomy background helps me to further understand my clients' circumstances," says Julian.
Technical expertise and compassion, combined with this anatomical science background makes Julian a highly sought-after lawyer. He also has expertise in workplace bullying claims and wrongful death claims.
Julian tailors his work to best suit clients’ circumstances and the facts of the case. He acts for a wide range of people including self-employed workers, doctors and other health workers, retirees, Indigenous people, children, foreign tourists, miners and fly in, fly out (FIFO) workers.
Although based in Cairns, Julian meets with clients in many locations in Far North Queensland.
He currently sits as the legal representative on the Far North Queensland Human Research Ethics Committee and is a past President of the Cairns Community Legal Centre and the Far North Queensland Law Association.
Julian can discuss his area of law in more detail if you contact him directly.
