Juliet Parsons is a personal injury Associate and the Maurice Blackburn Bundaberg office leader. She helps people with workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident and public liability claims.
Juliet also has a particular interest in bringing claims for the survivors of childhood sexual abuse. She is specially trained in trauma informed practice which ensures she works with clients to access justice in a way that recognises the complex trauma they have suffered.
Graduating from Griffith University Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Law, Juliet worked for several years as a solicitor in a multi-faceted Bundaberg law firm, before joining Maurice Blackburn in 2012. She was delighted to be able to return home when Maurice Blackburn opened our Bundaberg office in 2018.
Juliet is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. In addition to her work in personal injury law, Juliet is experienced in debt recovery, Wills and estates, and conveyancing.
“I'm inspired by knowing that I am helping people to fight injustice. Helping those who are unable to help themselves is probably the most rewarding part of my job and what really drew me to law I the first place,” says Juliet.
During her studies, Juliet spent one semester at the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) in Hyderabad, India. She credits this experience with extending her appreciation for the need to ensure that people understand their rights and entitlements under the law, and have access to legal representation; something she remains passionate about back in Australia.
