Katherine Argentino is a superannuation and insurance lawyer practising in Maurice Blackburn’s Melbourne office.
Katherine helps workers and people with chronic illnesses, medical conditions and disabilities to achieve the maximum benefit from their superannuation and insurance policies. She is driven to fight for her clients by her understanding of how much difference her efforts can make to their financial and personal situations.
“Many clients are unaware of their extent of their superannuation entitlements, particularly when it comes to associated insurance benefits. We work hard to find all our client’s benefits and ensure they receive their full entitlements. It makes a real difference to people’s lives and that’s ultimately what we’re fighting to achieve,” says Katherine.
“The most rewarding part of my work is helping people with disabilities and chronic illness to claim their benefits which ultimately relieves financial stressors and allows them to focus on what’s important: themselves and their families.”
With more than ten years’ legal experience, Katherine has a notable depth of knowledge and significant skills in superannuation and insurance claims including total and permanent disability (TPD), total and temporary disability (TTD), life and death insurance, trauma, income protection and salary continuance claims.
Katherine is passionate about helping people in Victoria understand their rights and ensuring that they receive their maximum benefits and achieve an overall positive outcome. She works closely with members of disability support groups, unions, community organisations and social work departments to help more people understand their rights and entitlements under superannuation and insurance policies.
Katherine is currently on parental leave.
