Kat works in Maurice Blackburn’s Brisbane office on superannuation and insurance claims. She also helps people with financial advice disputes and personal injury compensation claims.
Kat holds a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from Queensland University of Technology. She completed her traineeship at Maurice Blackburn and was admitted to practice in 2016.
Kat advises clients who have disputes with insurers. Prior to beginning her legal career, Kat worked in the arts and completed an internship at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
“I have a strong belief in advocating for marginalised and vulnerable members of our society and using the law to make life easier for people that have been through traumatic and challenging life experiences,” says Kat.
“I enjoy helping people to navigate the legal system and guiding them through process of taking legal action.”
Kat is passionate about human rights and giving back to the community. She volunteers at the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service in Brisbane and has also volunteered at the Caxton Legal Centre and Court Network, supporting victims of crime and people attending court.
