Kelly Morrow is a national Comcare Lawyer. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology.
Kelly has more than 11 years' experience with Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and has always advocated against injustice and social inequality.
"I feel very strongly that access to justice should be available to everyone. As a lawyer it’s rewarding to facilitate this for our clients who are vulnerable, uncertain and often have difficulty affording legal assistance."
"The Commonwealth workers' compensation scheme is complex. Workers face many hurdles accessing, and retaining, financial assistance from insurers - and this is all while they are suffering from injuries sustained through no fault of their own. I enjoy challenging the unfavourable decisions of insurers, educating my clients about their rights and reminding them of their own strength – which they show every day."
Kelly has worked with clients to achieve successful permanent impairment claims and to access Commonwealth workers' compensation benefits through strategic claims processes and appeals in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Kelly is an active member of many groups within Maurice Blackburn, including our Women's Network, Cultural Diversity Network, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Network, and our Pride Network.
