Lucille Nel is an Associate in Maurice Blackburn's superannuation and insurance claims department, based in Brisbane. She is committed to advancing the legal rights of everyday Queenslanders against insurers and superannuation funds.
"An old-fashioned but finely developed sense of justice and fairness lead to my choice to focus on superannuation entitlements and total and permanent disability (TPD) claims," Lucille says.
She finds it rewarding to achieve a fair result for a client who would probably not have succeeded on their own.
"Many of my clients have been devastated by serious illness or injury and are struggling to come to grips with much altered life circumstances. I hope that taking over the burden of engaging with super funds and insurers on their behalf helps in some small way to ease the load and allows them to focus on making the life adjustments they face."
Lucille has more than eight years experience as a lawyer in South Africa and Queensland, focusing on civil litigation, compensation, and superannuation & insurance claims. She holds bachelor degrees in commerce and law, and a Masters in law, with a specialisation in international economic law.
