Matthew Graham-Freeman is a medical negligence lawyer at Maurice Blackburn’s Melbourne office. Matthew joined the medical negligence team in 2016 as a paralegal, then became a graduate lawyer in 2019, and was admitted to practice in 2020.
“I have always felt a strong desire to help others in the community. As a medical negligence lawyer, it’s a privilege to assist people who have suffered injuries through no fault of their own. Medical law is complex so it’s a source of great satisfaction to assist clients to obtain answers about their health care and to receive proper compensation.”
Matthew’s working style is detail-orientated and he enjoys researching complex medical issues. He finds it gratifying to simplify the legal process for clients by explaining their case in clear, practical terms. He is proud to work at a firm that is committed to social justice and facilitates access to justice though the ‘no win, no fee’ model, and initiatives such as the HeLP clinic that operates out of The Alfred hospital.
