Michelle Antunovich is an Associate in Maurice Blackburn’s Perth office. She helps clients with personal injury claims for motor vehicle accidents including compulsory third party (CTP) compensation, public liability, workers’ compensation (WorkCover) and criminal injuries compensation.

Michelle also has a particular interest in bringing claims for the survivors of childhood sexual and institutional abuse. Michelle is specially trained in trauma informed practice which ensures she works with clients to access justice in a way that recognises the complex trauma they have suffered.

Michelle joined the firm in 2014 and has seven years’ experience in the law, including five as a lawyer. She is admitted to practice in all WA courts and the High Court of Australia.

“Practising in several areas of personal injuries allows me to investigate other potential avenues when clients come to me with only one in mind,” says Michelle.

“It’s rewarding to achieve the best possible outcome for clients whose lives have been irrevocably damaged through no fault of their own.

“I became a lawyer because it is interesting and challenging. I enjoy being able to play a meaningful role in maximising the entitlements of injured people in WA.  I also take great satisfaction in being able to assist clients through what otherwise might be considered a difficult and daunting legal process.”

In her spare time, Michelle is a keen cricketer and AFL enthusiast, especially the mighty Dockers.
