Monique Hanney is a personal injury lawyer in Maurice Blackburn’s Brown’s Plains office. She helps people with workers’ compensation, road accident and public liability claims.
Monique is a highly educated lawyer, who brings the extensive practical experience of her earlier paralegal work to all her cases. She has 12 years’ experience in the legal industry and joined Maurice Blackburn in 2010. Monique was admitted as a solicitor in 2013, holding Bachelor degrees in Justice and Law, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
“I decided to become a personal injury lawyer after witnessing the variety of matters this practice encompassed, including workers’ compensation claims, public liability and motor vehicle accidents, and realising the scope this afforded for being able to make a real difference in people’s lives,” says Monique.
“I am inspired to help people who have been injured due to the negligence of employers, businesses, and other drivers of motor vehicles/transport.”
Monique is a compassionate and resolute lawyer who appreciates the difference that achieving a just settlement can make to the often uncertain future her clients are facing. She is particularly determined to rise to the challenges presented by large insurers and complicated legislation, in order to reach the best possible outcome for her clients.
“Every claim is different but it is universally rewarding when you are able to achieve a great settlement for a client that will assist them in the future.”
The Gold Coast lawyer also appreciates her natural surroundings, and spends her spare time going to the beach and being outdoors.
