Natalie Woodward is a personal injuries lawyer in Maurice Blackburn’s Brisbane office in Queensland. She has extensive experience in compensation claims for people who were injured at work on the road or in a public place.
Natalie also has a particular interest in bringing claims for the survivors of childhood sexual abuse. She is specially trained in trauma informed practice which ensures she works with clients to access justice in a way that recognises the complex trauma they have suffered.
Natalie holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Natalie brings valuable insights to her role having worked for the RACQ, a major Queensland insurer, prior to embarking on her legal career. This background means she can prepare a case knowing both sides of the legal argument.
“My work with an insurer helps me to understand how defendants approach personal injury claims, and to anticipate and address the arguments that are likely to be raised by them before those arguments are made,” says Natalie.
“I am driven to achieve a positive outcome for clients who are finding it difficult to get back on their feet after an injury, in particular those who have been treated unfairly by their employer or the insurer.”
