In relation to his secondment at the Australian Workers Union, Patrick says: “As a proud unionist, the opportunity to support the work of one of Australia’s oldest and most enduring trade unions resonates with my own values. Helping union members understand and pursue their rights and entitlements, and support them in their work building fair and safe workplaces, is inspiring and rewarding”.
Before joining Maurice Blackburn, Patrick was General Secretary of the National Union of Students and worked for federal and state Labor members of parliament.
