Robyn Gee is a personal injury lawyer practising in Maurice Blackburn’s Brown’s Plains office. She helps people with workers’ compensation, CTP and public liability compensation claims.
With five years previous experience as a paralegal and case manager for a CTP insurer, Robyn decided to pursue a career as a lawyer, gaining her law degree from the University of Southern Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Robyn was admitted as a solicitor in 2012 and joined Maurice Blackburn two years later. She chose to pursue personal injury law as her area of expertise because of the challenging and rewarding nature of the work.
Robyn is able to guide her clients through the complex personal injury legal process; achieving outcomes that give them the resources to continue with their lives. She is particularly inspired by ensuring the rights and interests of everyday people are being protected.
“My most significant achievement to date has been the successful resolution of a claim for a young man who sustained an catastrophic brain injury in a motor vehicle accident,” says Robyn.
“The most rewarding aspect of my role is being in a position to help those whose lives may be in turmoil through no fault of their own. I feel that if I can take care of the legal process for a client they will be more able to focus on the important task of getting their life back on track."
She is keenly interested in legal reform and particularly in countering legislative changes that negatively affect the rights of her clients and injured people throughout the state.
Robyn is currently on parental leave.
