Rohan Tate is an employment lawyer in Maurice Blackburn's Brisbane office. He helps employees throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory with work-related employment matters.
Rohan holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. He has five years’ experience as a lawyer and is part of the team listed by the highly respected Doyle's Guide to the Australian Legal Profession as one of two top tier law firms for employees in Queensland.
Rohan is particularly skilled in providing legal advice and representation regarding workplace disputes, discrimination law, contractual disputes, disciplinary and regulatory law matters, including AHPRA and OHO matters, workplace investigations, and Coronial inquests.
“Employment is a critical part of a person’s life and identity. Assisting an employee through the difficult matters that can arise in the workplace is rewarding,” says Rohan.
“This could include helping an employee through a complex disciplinary process, and, saving someone’s job.
“I’m committed to vigorously defending employee's rights. The power imbalance in the workplace between an employer and employee means that often employees are disadvantaged. Being able to assist an employee correct this imbalance is what drives me.”
Outside of work, Rohan uses his legal knowledge to help the greater good via sitting on the Steering Committee for Tenants Queensland Inc.
