Ross is an experienced law clerk in Maurice Blackburn’s Melbourne office. With a background in asbestos and dust diseases and WorkCover litigation, Ross is passionate about fighting for the right to compensation for his clients. These include sufferers of asbestos and dust diseases including mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and asbestos related pleural disease.
“I have a genuine interest in assisting clients to navigate the claim process, which is often a very difficult and challenging experience, on top of everything else they’re already dealing with,” says Ross.
Since working in the asbestos and dust diseases practice, Ross has developed a particular interest in the emerging area of WorkCover compensation claims for sufferers of non- asbestos occupational diseases including occupational asthma, silicosis and auto-immune conditions such as scleroderma, sarcoidosis and lupus.
Ross joined Maurice Blackburn in 2016 after completing a Bachelor in Legal Practice and has also worked in the firm’s WorkCover and public liability practices.
Since joining the firm, Ross has commenced studying a Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University and has been an outstanding student, recently securing an award presented by WorkSafe Victoria for “Best Student in Personal Injuries Compensation Schemes”.
