Samantha Camilleri is a class actions lawyer in Maurice Blackburn’s Melbourne office. She is presently working on the Bonsoy class action settlement, assisting the team to assess and deliver successful outcomes for members of the public who have suffered injury and loss due to the consumption of this product.
Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts and Honours in Laws as well as Graduate Diplomas in Education (with Honours) and Legal Practice.
“The class actions mechanism gives a voice to the injustices faced by everyday people who would not normally have the resources for such an undertaking," says Samantha.
"It is immensely rewarding to fight for clients' rights and obtain redress from major corporations; the benefits of which are there for all society, not just our clients."
Samantha is also a volunteer in the Maurice Blackburn Asylum Seeker Resource Centre support program run in conjunction with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
