Tahnee Christensen is a personal injury lawyer practising in Maurice Blackburn’s Caboolture office. She helps people with workers’ compensation, road accident injury and public liability claims.

Tahnee holds a Bachelor of Law and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. She joined Maurice Blackburn in 2010, and in 2013 she became the youngest instructing solicitor to appear at the Coronial Inquest and Royal Commission into the Home Insulation Scheme. Tahnee is driven to fight for her clients by her genuine sense of compassion and justice over and above monetary outcomes. Her decision to practice law was heavily influenced by her own family’s experience of workers’ compensation law.

“My father was severely injured in a work accident when I was a child. His solicitor who assisted with his matter was a strong advocate yet compassionate and genuine. Considering the devastation that such on injury can have, not only on the person injured but their family and community, I became inspired to fight for and support injured people just as my father’s solicitor had done for all of us,” says Tahnee.

Tahnee is an experienced litigator with strong tactical and negotiation skills. She believes the most rewarding thing about her work is being able to guide and support injured people through one of the most difficult times in their life and achieving great outcomes for them which help turn their lives around.

“I'm inspired by clients of mine who are able to show such immense courage and strength and rise above the sometimes horrendous circumstances in which they find themselves injured.”

Tahnee is a strong advocate of worker’s rights and has been active within the union movement since university. She is also in a number of organisations which benefit her clients and the broader community.
