Tamara Splatt is a WorkCover compensation Associate in our Geelong office.
Tamara holds a Bachelor of Laws from Charles Darwin University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Nursing from Ballarat University. She was admitted to practice law in early 2016.
Tamara has 15 years nursing experience in Victoria and QLD but it was her work on a neurosurgical, ear nose and throat and maxillofacial ward that opened her eyes to way serious injuries affect every part of someone’s life.
“I saw first-hand the impact that trauma has on people and the agonizing road to recovery. This is what inspired me to become a lawyer so that I could assist people beyond their recovery to access their entitlements at law,” says Tamara.
Prior to joining Maurice Blackburn in early 2019, Tamara worked for another firm and she also has an indepth understanding of the TAC system having worked as a TAC support officer for three years.
“I am driven to make sure that my clients understand their rights and entitlements,” she says.
“Every day I am inspired by the positive attitude and tenacity of my clients, especially as I understand how hard it is psychologically and physically after an injury, and the impact it has on family and friends.”
