Tina Vecchio is the class actions Practice Group Manager for Maurice Blackburn, based in Melbourne.

Tina leads the administrative and financial functions of our national class actions department, working closely with Principals and firm management in all states. Tina puts her legal skills to good use at strategic and operational levels, working to ensure the efficient and effective daily operations of our national practice group. As a leader in the most successful class actions practice in Australia, Tina’s work also has an overarching view to continuous improvement of practice and process, contributing to the best possible outcome for the firm’s clients.

“The department has an unrivalled record in successful class actions in Australia and has achieved settlements in excess of $1.5 billion,” says Tina.

Tina started her legal career as a solicitor in Queensland, helping clients predominantly in the areas of compensation litigation, conveyancing and business law until 1998, when she moved to Melbourne. She then worked as a lawyer and specialised in major project litigation at another leading plaintiff law firm.

Tina joined Maurice Blackburn in 2000, and during this time she has helped to manage and grow the class actions department from a national group of 20 people in one office, to 115 people across the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane offices.

Tina completed her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1991, achieving Honours in Law.
