Genna Upson is a road accident injuries Associate practising in Maurice Blackburn’s Greensborough office.
After graduating with Bachelor degrees in Arts and Law, Genna joined the firm in 2011 and has focused on TAC compensation claims since that time. She is a determined and methodical lawyer who is determined to secure every possible benefit for her clients, and to ensure they receive the support they need now and in the future.
Genna was particularly drawn to personal injury and transport accident law by her desire to assist clients fight for their rights, while working closely with them on a daily basis. She finds herself continually inspired by the strength and determination shown by her clients, even in the face of life-changing trauma and when suffering from devastating injuries.
“The most rewarding part of my work is helping clients to access their full statutory entitlements and common law compensation, particularly in circumstances where you know that the client is really struggling, and that the outcome is going to have a real and significant impact on their life,” says Genna.
“I think the most challenging aspect of working in this field is seeing clients struggling to come to terms with the trauma that a road accident has had on their lives and then seeing them suffer further through trying to navigate an often bewildering insurance system and legal processes that can leave them feeling confused and frustrated. I use this to challenge myself to fight even harder as I help provide a path through the legal red tape.”
