Qualification(s): BA, LLB(Hons)
Meghan Sheehan is an experienced workplace injury lawyer in Maurice Blackburn’s Sunshine office. She helps people in the Western suburbs with WorkCover compensation claims.
Meghan joined Maurice Blackburn as a trainee lawyer in 2015. She was admitted to practice law in 2016, holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law from La Trobe University. Meghan also worked as a paralegal for five years while studying.
“I have a passion for unionism and a belief that no one should suffer an injury at work. I want to make life easier for injured people so they can lead independent and fulfilling lives,” says Meghan.
“Work injuries affect not only people’s ability to earn a living, but injuries can severely limit someone’s capacity to enjoy life and do what they love outside work.”
Driven by a strong sense of justice, Meghan uses every opportunity to highlight preventable workplace injury and raise awareness of dangerous work practices.
She is also a volunteer at the legal clinic for the African Australian Multicultural Employment and Youth Services, and has volunteered at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Lawyers from our Sunshine office regularly see clients in other locations, and Meghan is available fortnightly for appointments in the Sunbury visiting office.
