Rosy Matheson is a medical negligence lawyer in our Melbourne office. Educated in New Zealand at the University of Canterbury, Rosy started working at Maurice Blackburn in mid-2015 after 18 months practising in criminal law in New Zealand.
“I made the decision to become a lawyer at a young age because I had a desire to help others. It is for this reason that I am pursuing a career in medical negligence where I can assist clients who have suffered injury through no fault of their own,” says Rosy.
“The most rewarding aspect of medical malpractice cases is finding answers and outcomes for my clients who would otherwise not have a voice.”
“Medical law can be challenging and involve complex medical issues. I take a compassionate and investigative approach, working through the complexities to find solutions for my clients.”
“I am inspired by the strength of my clients who have the courage to ask questions and seek answers in what can be an intimidating system and during a stressful time of their lives. It is a privilege to have the ability to guide them through the legal process, to relieve them of some of their stress, and to make a real difference in their lives.”
Rosy has strong analytical, research technical and interpersonal skills. Before joining our medical negligence team, Rosy worked in our Social Justice Practice.
