Melissa Meyers

 Melissa has worked as a social worker and counsellor, including with the Adult Guardian in Queensland, giving her considerable experience in the mental health and disability sector.

After moving into law, Melissa spent much of her early career in Rockhampton before relocating to the Northern Territory in 2018 to lead Maurice Blackburn's Darwin team. She now leads the firm's Central Queensland teams across Rockhampton, Mackay, Gladstone and Bundaberg, and has practised exclusively in personal injuries - including catastrophic injuries, death claims, psychological injuries and intentional tort claims - for over 20 years.

Melissa is a down-to-earth, straight shooter who aims to deliver excellent legal representation to clients regardless of where they live. She is passionate about extending access to justice across rural, regional and remote Australia, so clients don't miss out on quality legal representation simply because they don't live in a capital city.

In her spare time, Melissa is a keen horse rider and lives on a property with her horses outside Brisbane.
