Jordan Mathas-Carleton

Jordan has considerable experience in managing and conducting large-scale, complex litigation and disputes, particularly in the areas of corporations, securities, financial services and consumer law. He has worked on a number of class actions, including the car loan flex commissions class actions, the Treasury Wine Estates class action, and the Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda class actions. Jordan has also previously worked as a Senior Associate at a legal and regulatory advisory firm and has experience acting in regulatory and commercial disputes for both regulators and private clients.

Outside of this, Jordan has been actively involved in the community legal sector and is passionate about public interest environmental and animal law. While studying, he volunteered at a range of environmental organisations. During that time, he contributed to important public interest advocacy and litigation, including in relation to the protection of the Great Barrier Reef. He has also since volunteered at a Melbourne-based community legal centre focusing on the protection of animals.

Jordan holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Queensland and is currently completing a Master of Laws at The University of Sydney.
