Nick Gowland

Nick has strong technical knowledge and practical experience across a broad range of employment disputes and industry sectors. Nick acts for clients with matters pertaining to general protections applications, discrimination and sexual harassment complaints, workplace investigations, bullying complaints, senior executive negotiations, contractual disputes and restraints of trade.

Nick has instructed in cases in the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Court and the Federal Circuit and Family Court. Prior to joining the firm, Nick worked in employment law for a leading respondent law firm.

Of Nick's many achievements, his most notable within his practice include:

• Achieving a six-figure settlement for a client who was sexually harassed in the workplace
• Advising senior members of the public service in responding to complex workplace investigations
• Assisting victims of discrimination to make complaints to their employers and the Australian Human Rights Commission
• Obtaining favourable exit packages for senior executives leaving employment
