Prior to moving to South Australia in May 2018, Simon spent 3 years in both our Sydney and Melbourne offices acting on behalf of hundreds of victims of negligent financial planning and stockbroking advice under the CBA Open Advice Review Program, Macquarie Private Wealth and National Australia Bank compensation schemes.
Simon is also a Director of the South Australian and Northern Territory Financial Counsellors Association (“SAFCA”), the peak body for financial counsellors who provide assistance to over 40,000 financially vulnerable South Australians and Northern Territorians and their families every year.
“I’ve always had an innate passion for social justice, fairness and giving a voice to those who are dis-empowered by illness, injury and socioeconomic barriers. Seeing the utmost pure joy on our clients' faces knowing that even the smallest of victories can be a life changer for many of them,” says Simon.
In 2013 Simon spent a year in Jakarta and Yogyakarta volunteering for Legal Aid Indonesia in their Human Rights Law division and speaks fluent Indonesian and French. Originally from Geelong, he is a die-hard Cats supporter, loves cricket and surfing, and used to be in a band where he played piano and vocals.
