Tamara holds a Bachelor of Laws from Charles Darwin University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Nursing from Ballarat University. She was admitted to practice law in early 2016.
Tamara has 15 years nursing experience in Victoria and QLD. Her experience working on a neurosurgical, ENT and maxillofacial ward opened her eyes to the devastating impacts personal injuries have on people’s lives. She witnessed not only the physical and psychological toll on people but also the impact these injuries have on their family and friends.
“I saw first-hand the impact that trauma has on people and the agonising road to recovery, this is what inspired me to become a lawyer. I want to assist people beyond their recovery and I'm driven to ensure my clients understand their rights and entitlements,” says Tamara.
“Every day, I am inspired by the positive attitude and tenacity of my clients. Even when confronting unsympathetic insurers or difficult to navigate legislative schemes, people are driven to continue fighting and make the best of their situation.”
Tamara volunteers at Townsville Community Law. She is a member of the JCU Human Research Ethics Committee and is involved in various local sporting Clubs, including the Saints Netball Club and Northern Beaches Suns AFL Club.
