Customers appear to have been impacted differently, but information compromised may include name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, Qantas Frequent Flyer numbers, tier, points balance, status credits, gender and meal preference.

If you are a current or former Qantas customer who was notified by Qantas that you were impacted by the data breach, you are eligible to register to receive updates about the representative complaint and compensation which may be sought on your behalf. Registration is free. You do not need to pay anything to register for or participate in the representative complaint.

Maurice Blackburn has launched a representative complaint against Qantas following the revelations of a wide-scale customer data breach.
Anyone who is a current or former Qantas customer is eligible to register if you received notification from Qantas that your information was impacted by the data breach.
In order to register, you will need to provide us with:
- your name
- a telephone number
- and address
You will also need to answer an eligibility question which is "Do you currently, or did you formerly, share personal information with Qantas?"
No. At some stage later on, you may be asked to provide further information about your Qantas account, but at this stage, you don't need to provide any documents or do anything to prove you are, or were, a Qantas customer.
Yes. Former Qantas customers are eligible to register.
Nothing. Registering will not expose you to any out of pocket cost. Unless and until there is a successful outcome in any legal claim, all costs will be borne by Maurice Blackburn. In the event of a successful outcome, any costs payable to Maurice Blackburn will be deducted from, and will not exceed, any compensation that you are entitled to receive.
Yes. Anyone who is a current or former Qantas customer is eligible to register with Maurice Blackburn to receive updates about our investigation into any potential action and compensation which may be sought on your behalf, even if you have already registered your interest with another law firm.
