Qualification(s): LLB(Hons), BA
Kylie Ellis is a WorkCover Associate in Maurice Blackburn’s Geelong office.
Kylie grew up in Geelong and is passionate about helping people in her local community. She has five years’ experience as a personal injuries compensation lawyer, and holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in journalism and an Honours in Law from Deakin University.
Kylie joined Maurice Blackburn in 2015, after spending several years working as a solicitor for the TAC. Drawn to a career in law through a desire to help people, she is a solution-focussed lawyer with a highly analytical approach to her work. Kylie relishes the opportunity to work as part of a dedicated, close knit and client focussed team serving the Geelong and South West Victorian community.
Kylie is particularly determined to achieve every dollar of compensation possible for her clients, having seen the effect of poor decisions made by insurance companies on the lives of local people. She explains the often-complex legal process to her clients in an easy-to-understand way and ensures at all times that the individual needs and wishes of her clients are paramount.
“I’m really inspired by the courage with which my clients and their families approach their claims and their ongoing recovery,” says Kylie.
“I’ve seen some really challenging situations that arise purely because of bad bureaucratic decisions, which makes me even more determined to ensure that my clients get every possible measure of compensation and support.”
Kylie is a proud member of the Geelong Cats and enjoys spending her spare time playing competitive netball and having a double shot flat white at the new cafes in Geelong.
Kylie is on parental leave.
