Craig Mutton

Craig joined Maurice Blackburn as General Manager, Innovation & Delivery in 2025. He is part of the Personal Law leadership team based in our Melbourne head office.

With more than 25 years' experience across the corporate, government and higher education sectors, Craig leads Personal Law's strategic agenda, including the firm's AI and automation capability, change and product management capability, and the operating model work that underpins how Maurice Blackburn delivers for clients at scale.

Prior to joining the firm, Craig was Chief Digital Officer and Vice President Digital at the University of Canberra, where he led digital capability uplift, technology and engineering delivery, and the reimagining of the student and staff digital experience. He has held senior roles spanning business and digital strategy, enterprise transformation, data and analytics, and service design across a range of organisations.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Computing from Monash University, a Master of Project Management from RMIT University and a Master of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Craig is a current Director of Diversity Council Australia, where he serves on the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and the Technology and Innovation Committee. He has previously served as a non-executive director of Hepburn Health Service and Castlemaine Art Museum, including as Chair from 2018 to 2022.
