Christina Barker

Christina Barker grew up on the Gold Coast and has called Toowoomba home for the last 14 years. She is a personal injury lawyer based in our Toowoomba office, working across road accident, work injury and public place injury claims.

Qualification(s)

LLB, GDLP, BJourn, GradCertTeach

Before embarking on her legal career, Christina obtained a Bachelor of Journalism from Bond University and worked as a broadcast journalist. After being involved in a car accident herself and navigating the claims process first-hand, Christina decided to pursue a career in law to help others in similar situations. Drawing on her communication skills and passion for advocacy, she completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Southern Queensland and her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law in 2025. During her legal studies, Christina became an accredited mediator under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS).

Christina's background in broadcast journalism gives her a distinct ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and to build compelling cases. Her training as an accredited mediator also equips her to approach disputes with a focus on resolution. Christina understands the importance of quality client care and what it means to have someone in your corner during a difficult time. She is a compassionate and client-focused lawyer who takes the time to listen, explain and guide her clients through every step of the claims process.

"After my own accident, I knew I wanted to use my experience to help others going through the same thing. There's nothing more rewarding than being able to fight for someone when they need it most and help them get back on their feet," says Christina.

She is committed to fighting for fair outcomes for people who have been injured through no fault of their own.

"I'm here to fight for the rights of injured people who come up against well-resourced insurance companies. My goal is simple – to help my clients return to the position they were in before their injury, so they can move forward with their lives," says Christina.

Christina is passionate about ensuring that people in regional Queensland have access to the same quality legal representation as those in capital cities. Outside of work, Christina is a mother to three young children, which gives her a deep understanding of how an injury can impact not just an individual, but an entire family. She is committed to obtaining her Queensland Law Society accreditation as a personal injury specialist and continuing to develop her expertise in compensation law.
