Class actions
LLB, B.Comms, Dip LegPrac
Jessica is experienced in all aspects of class actions, having worked on numerous matters across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Jessica is currently representing shareholders in a class action against Woolworths Group (WOW) for alleged misleading and deceptive conduct and breaches of continuous disclosure obligations in the period 29 August 2014 – 6 May 2015.
"Class actions enable people to enforce their rights in circumstances where individual legal action might not otherwise be feasible" says Jessica.
"I am motivated by the capacity of class actions to combat mass wrongs by bringing people with common issues together. Knowing that what we do at Maurice Blackburn gives a voice to people who would otherwise stay silent is an incredibly rewarding part of my job."
Jessica graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Communications and a Diploma in Legal Practice. Before joining Maurice Blackburn in April 2014, Jessica practiced in commercial law with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution.
