Qualification(s)

BA (Hons), LLB

Jessica is a socially conscious lawyer with more than 16 years’ experience in personal injury law. Graduating with Honours in Arts and a Bachelor of Laws, she chose personal injury law because of her commitment to equity and social justice, and her desire to support people in understanding their rights and demystifying the law.

She has extensive expertise in statutory benefits, pre-litigated and litigated common law claims, as well as unrestricted common law litigation.

Her experience working with both plaintiff and defendant firms gives her a balanced and comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in prosecuting and defending claims.

“When a case concludes successfully, it is hugely satisfying to see my client’s heartfelt appreciation and to reflect on the great result that our investment of time and hard work has achieved,” says Jessica.

Jessica advocates for clients who have suffered work-related injuries, asbestos and dust diseases, including silicosis, mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestos-related pleural disease. She is inspired by the opportunities presented by each client’s unique situation and finds this a strong motivator to push the boundaries of the law and achieve the best possible outcomes.

“Sometimes my clients have been forced into a destitute situation because of an illness or workplace injury, which can be emotionally challenging for everyone involved. I use this challenge to push myself further and achieve a result that will make a real difference for these clients.”

Outside her legal practice, Jessica embraces a lifestyle grounded in nature, creativity and community. She enjoys bushwalking through Victoria’s landscapes, exploring local markets, listening to music and engaging with visual art. Her interest in environmental matters reflects a broader commitment to sustainability and social justice. These passions provide a restorative balance to her legal work, enriching her perspective and deepening her appreciation for nature, culture and the human experience.

Jessica also enjoys spending time at her caravan in South Gippsland and loves unwinding at the beach during summer, listening to classic rock and the timeless sounds of Fleetwood Mac.
