Sean Behringer is an asbestos and dust diseases Senior Associate and personal injury specialist in Maurice Blackburn’s Sydney office. His experience has been recognised by the prestigious Doyles Guide, which listed Sean as one of only a handful of recommended lawyers in his field in NSW in 2016 and 2017.
Graduating with honours in Law and Arts, Sean was admitted as a solicitor before the Supreme Court of NSW in 2010. Now in his sixth year with the firm, Sean has spent the vast majority of his time working exclusively to obtain compensation for the victims of dust diseases and their families. In that time, he has represented hundreds of clients suffering from mesothelioma, asbestosis, pleural plaques and other dust diseases, helping them to pursue their legal entitlements and gain compensation.
“I achieve outcomes that provide people with the security they need for their future. Every case is different and every client has different needs, but the ultimate goal is the same – to provide recompense for the damages suffered and to assist their current and future situation,” says Sean.
Sean chose a career in law because of his passion for helping those most in need in a just and expeditious manner. He is a committed lawyer with a compassionate approach to his clients’ cases and their individual circumstances. He understands the need for prompt resolution experienced by many people, and recognises the impact that a successful outcome will have on the lives of his clients and their families. Sean takes a strategic approach to cases, and ensures at all times that his clients are fully informed and in agreement with the direction of the case.
“I’m inspired by my clients, who are often facing difficulties in multiple areas of their life, all while attempting to cope with the significant and ongoing impacts of their illness. Their determination reinforces my own and challenges me to try everything, and push even harder, to achieve a just outcome.”
