Morry is a new way to access to legal support from Maurice Blackburn at any time of the day. Through a conversational and personalised experience, Morry will help Australians find the next, best step for their unique situation. This includes connecting them to a Maurice Blackburn service where that makes sense, or other providers or sources of advice.

Chief Executive Officer Jacob Varghese said the firm has a long history of innovation and that Morry is a practical and responsible way of using AI technology to increase access to justice.

“We’ve built Morry carefully and we’re confident that from day one it will be of real help to most people seeking genuine support,” he said.

“At the same time, Morry is new and won’t get everything right the first time. We’ve launched it in beta so it can help Australians today while also learning from each interaction so it can be even better tomorrow.”

About Morry:

  • Listens first: Morry asks a few simple questions to understand each person’s situation
  • Connects faster: Morry can book clients straight in with the right practice area, or guide them to one of our people with the right experience to help
  • Always available: Morry will operate 24/7, though the initial rollout will be on selected web pages and will grow from there.

Mr Varghese said the way Australians interact with all types of services is evolving and the firm is committed to evolving with them.

“Three out of every four legal needs in this country go unmet. Changing that will require trying new things and learning from mistakes as well as successes,” he said.

“Maurice Blackburn will continue to offer a full suite of phone, email and live chat support, but adding Morry to the mix gives people another option to suit how they want to interact with us.”
