Sarah Avery is a class actions lawyer based in our Sydney office. Since first joining Maurice Blackburn in 2018, Sarah has contributed to various cases including the Radio Rentals Class Action, the Colonial First State MySuper Class Action, the Flex Commission Class Action, and the NT Youth Justice Class Action.

Sarah has extensive voluntary and work experience assisting people experiencing disadvantage, in addition to an exemplary legal education. She holds First Class Honours in her Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Communications from the University of Technology Sydney, and First Class Honours in a University of Melbourne Law School Masters Course on Class Actions. During her time at university, Sarah received numerous awards and scholarships including the Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship, the Brennan Justice and Leadership Award, the Dean’s Special Award for Leadership.

Before joining the firm, Sarah was a specialist housing caseworker for criminalised women, and held various positions at Redfern Legal Centre.
